Stephanie Bingham
My name is Stephanie Bingham, I am 25 years old and I have a Master’s
Degree in history. And just to make things a bit more interesting, I have been
able to see spirits of the dead for as long as I can remember. I have written,
researched and presented on paranormal topics in various academic
settings. I have done my best to combine my personal experiences with the
dead and my training in history by focusing on historical accounts with
paranormal aspects to them because these accounts seemed to get
overlooked.
It was this historical training that led me to sharing my experiences in a very public forum. I have never
hidden my abilities and as an undergrad I lived with an equally odd roommate. I soon noticed that my normal
experiences with dead things were increasing to an alarming level. This escalation continued up to the point
where I was physically pushed down a flight of stairs by a foul tempered entity with shark teeth. While we were
able to resolve this particular haunting, I felt it was selfish to keep this experience private after I realized how
much having a friend who understood the weirdness could help someone deal with such an event.
In my younger days I trained as a ballerina, which eventually morphed into a love of the stage in general. I
have done too many performances over the years to count. These range from short performances at local fairs to
extremely involved productions for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. I have found that there is a strange
intersection between the different worlds I have been a part of. I have found the theatre and even academia have
dark corners where ghosts and the people who see them can be found and discussed. I might not always be
accepted for my abilities, but I see no reason to hide them.
